Prayer Intentions

We pray as always in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

For the Victim/Survivors of Clerical Sexual Abuse:
- Those that have come forward,
- Those that are still unable to come forward, blame themselves or have completely erased it from their consciousness
- Those that could not face life and took their own in desperation

R: Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For our Clergy:
- Sustain the Priests and Deacons who serve your Church faithfully. Help us to be your voice, your hands, your feet to bring them hope and encouragement
- Give our Bishops wisdom to face the source of this scandal implement appropriate changes especially the elimination of this culture of secrecy to help avoid further scandal in the future and help build and open and inclusive Church.
- Give the priest who are/were perpetrators of  this crime courage to come forward, take responsibility for their crimes and seek forgiveness from their victims and the Church and help become part of the solution.
- Give our Bishops especially those that have in any way taken part in any cover up or used poor judgment, the courage to bring all into the light.

R: Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the Church (institution and people):
- Cleanse our Church your Body from all sources of this scandal
- Make the institution Church a true sign of Holiness and an example for all other institutions of humility, caring, openness to needed change and faithfulness to your teachings especially love.
- Give your people leaders who seek to meaningfully include and encourage the gifts of all the faithful- clergy and laity especially in building and operating the church.

R: Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For those who disagree with us:
- Help all of us to understand that we, as brothers and sisters in Christ, should listen to one another with open minds and hearts and strive to always treat each other with respect no matter how different our points of view. Give those Bishops and clergy who have spoken out against us, labeled us "dissidents", or kept us from using our Churches, an open and loving heart and remove any fear that grips them and causes them to react in a negative way. Help us to discover open and respectful forums where we can listen to one another in sincerity and humility

R: Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the Voice of the Faithful,
- Direct our efforts that our work may help build up your kingdom. Help us to be your faithful people that our voice may be prophetic of what is to come and move us to a more open and inclusive Church.

R: Lord, Hear Our Prayer

Precious God we thank you for listening to our petitions. We know that you hear us and trust that you will answer them according to your will. We end as we started by blessing ourselves in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit . Amen.
